BROTHERHOOD PRIMER

"Brotherhood is another word for the holding of history and narrative in such a way that removes isolation, creates a context for connection, and allows men to enter one another's world without judgement, comparison, or competition. Brotherhood's focus is not on content to be learned or the proper exegesis of a passage or the conformity to a certain ideology.

Its focus is to know and be known by other men. For men to be "brothers" means for them to not only know each other's depravity, but to hold tightly to one another's glory in order to see each other become the man God intended for them to be. A brother is an ally of the Father on my behalf ."

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?

There is something is at the very center of every man’s heart. We live in a culture that has so ultimately demolished the notion of male-male relationship – either hyper-sexualizing it or completely belittling it that we have lost any true sense of what it means to be close to another guy. The reality is, though, that at the core of our man-beings is a hunger and need for other men. We know it. We feel it.

But we have lost our way in navigating it.
